You will then pop out into the open again, this time on the south side of the ridge below its once-again steep cliffs. You may think you are done (and you could just hike down the grassy slope and rejoin the geologic trail), but there is one more good section to come. Follow the path and wires, which lead up a true bit of ferrata again, to where, once again, you are led right into the heart of the ridge, underground.

Stairs in the Dark
This last section of galleries is the most extensive, and you'll be underground for a while, up stairs, past rooms and lookouts. Very extensive! Eventually you'll make your way out and the ferrata ends right at that point. From here, wander down back to the Rifugio Padon area where you rejoin the path you used to come up here earlier in the day.
