This page contains a high-level listing of all of the Vie Ferrate that I personally have done in the Dolomites. As of the end of 2010, I've done more than 30 different Via Ferrata routes. As I return to do more (and I will, believe me!), I'll be adding to this list.

Each entry gives some very high-level information about the ferrata. There is a link associated with each entry that will bring you to a more detailed page about that ferrata, with lots of text, images, and maps.

Sentiero SOSAT
A relatively short and easy outing in the Brenta Group, at a lower altitude. Still has the usual Brenta ladders-and-ledges feel, though!

Via Ferrata Brigata Tridentina
Long and sustained, exposed and exciting. A classic ferrata route, both in style and age.

Via Ferrata Gianni Aglio
A high-altitude route that includes it all: exposed scrambling, big exposure, and a high summit (the Tofana di Mezzo). Usually climbed in combination with the adjoining Via Ferrata Punta Anna.

Via Ferrata Tomaselli Descent Route
This ferrata is typically used as the descent route for the Ferrata Tomaselli. It is a reasonably stiff ferrata in its own right (although definitely not as hard as the Tomaselli itself), is very scenic and has lots of exposure. If you want to climb to the Punta Sud but want something easier than the Tomaselli ferrata, then this route is for you.

Sentiero Bocchette Alte
The highest and most difficult section of the famous Via delle Bocchette. Only moderately difficult technically. Lots of ladders, traverses, and a few airy unprotected sections. Long approach, often done multi-day.

An interesting climbing traverse over the Cimerlo - one of the peaks positioned at the very southern end of the Pale di San Martino.

Sentiero Astaldi
An extremely scenic and very short traverse along a very easy ferrata at the southern edge of the Tofana Group. Traverses an area of multi-colored rock not usually seen in the Dolomites.

Sentiero Attrezzato Camillo Depaoli
A very easy scramble providing straightforward access to the Rifugio Velo della Madonna and the peaks of the very southern end of the Pale di San Martino: Cima della Madonna, Sass Maor, and Cimerlo.

Sentiero Oliva Detassis
A steep little connector route up to the Bocchette Alte. Goes up a remote little valley climbs up a long series of steep ladders. Easy technically, but lots of exposure.

Via Ferrata Centenario SAT
A steep, mostly ladder-assisted ascent from near sea-level at the north end of Lake Garda to the top of a rocky crag more than 1200 metres / 3900 feet above. Excellent airpline-like views directly down onto Riva del Garda on the way up and on top.

One of the hard classics of the high dolomites. Steep, and with very little artificial aid other than the wire itself. Very good rock at all times, although holds are in a few places difficult to find. Spectacular scenery and breathtaking exposure in places.

A long and strenuous route to the 5th highest peak in the dolomites, and then a not so simple descent afterwards. Your reward, however, are fantastic views down the 1,000 metre high west face of the Civetta.

Short historic route on scenic tower very close to Rifugio Locatelli. Steep but has many ladders lessening the difficulty. Tops out at tiny summit of the Torre Toblino. Usually combined with the other ferrata that climbs this tower, the Sentiero del Curato M. Hosp.

Via Ferrata Fausto Susatti
A low-altitude, low-commitment route in the Lake Garda Area. Decent scenery and good views of Lake Garda, technically only very moderate, and not a lot of exposure. Definitely a good beginner route and a good route when higher routes are snowed in.

A relatively short ferrata that climbs one of the few steeper faces in a mountain range to the south that is generally less-steep than the higher dolomites. A nice, climbing-oriented way to get to the top of Cima Carega and to the Rifugio Fraccaroli

Sentiero De Luca / Innerkofler
A short and scenic route in the eastern dolomites, through and along wartime tunnels and ledges, and with excellent views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The climbing is relatively easy, and there is not a lot of elevation gain.
