A Queen in Dark Seas
I believe (although I am not sure) that this is the 'Queen of Esquimalt', a 376-car ferry that operates various routes based on need between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. In this case, it is running the Horseshoe bay-Departure bay route between West Vancouver and Nanaimo. As seen from the Innes residence on Gabriola Island. [enlarge]
Almost seems tropical
The arrangement of the two coniferous trees on the left suggests a tropical palm-framed sunset. But no, this is the view from the front yard of the Innes Residence at sunset. Beautiful, isn't it? [enlarge]
