I believe (although I am not sure) that this is the 'Queen of Esquimalt', a 376-car ferry that operates various routes based on need between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. In this case, it is running the Horseshoe bay-Departure bay route between West Vancouver and Nanaimo. As seen from the Innes residence on Gabriola Island.
