Yard Mountain

Elevation: 4009' (1221m)
Officially trailled
Location: N44.174395 W73.885138 (WGS84)

Yard is a peak not far west of Big Slide Mountain. Even though it is over 4000 feet in elevation, it is just *barely* under the requirement for a peak to have at least 300 feet of prominence above its nearest neighbour, so it is not listed as an official separate peak, and not one of the 46Rs (never mind that there seem to be other peaks which break this rule but which have survived as 46Rs.... not naming any names, but you know who you are.) In any case, Yard is fully-trailed, reachable from a ridge from the summit of Big Slide, or from Johns Brook Valley. There are a few decent lookouts towards Gothics. Quiet and out-of-the-way. (Ignore the '999' designation above - my peak list software doesn't currently support a peak without a ranking, so I just set this guy up as 999 so as not to disturb the main list)
