Iroquois Peak is one of the more interesting of the officially untrailled peaks. It is high and has open alpine terrain on its summit. There are interesting and excellent views of the High Peaks region, including a view of formidable Wallface cliff, the highest cliff in the Eastern US. Iroquois is easily reached from the ridge that connects it with Algonquin. Boundary Peak, a sub-peak between Iroquois and Algonquin, is also quite nice. Thick scrub and krummholz separates Iroquois, Boundary and the official trail.
