Phelps Mountain

Elevation: 4161 feet; Order of Height: 32

Participants: Andrew Lavigne, Brian Connell, Jennifer Innes, Caroline Doucet

In pursuit of his Winter 46, a climb up friend for Brian. With spring rapidly approaching, this was our last change to get a winter peak in. Weather turned out quite a bit better than forecast, and trail conditions were very good and suitable for bare-booting with traction aids. Nearly the entire climb was on hard, smooth trail, with the exception of perhaps one or two icy bulges near the top of Phelps. Nice in-and-out views of the central high peaks. Congratulations to Brian on his 19th winter 46R peak.
