After finishing with our drinks, snacks, and conversation with Fabien and Ovidio, we undertook a tour of Old Ulm. The first stop was a nearby street where, just days before, Asmir had proposed to Miriam (see picture). After that, we continued on, passing the colorful altes rathaus or old city hall, down to the Danube river, and then up through the Fischerviertel (fishermen's quarter), complete with narrow pedestrian-only streets, a little rushing stream, and old, crooked buildings. We ended our loop back at the large square and Cathedral, where a combination of nighttime and floodlights really did make the church's massive spire look like some sort of rocket that Jules Verne would have dreamed up.
Where the question happened...
Having seen a lot of cool things, drunk some good wine and food, and being quite jetlagged, we were very ready for a good night's sleep. We walked back to the car park, drove back to Niederstotzingen, and that was that for the day.
