Landslide Lake

Landslide Lake is a wonderful glacier-fed lake, filled with turquoise-colored water. It is a fairly long hike to get to this spot - just over 10km.

Landslide Scar
A good view of the scars left by a 50-year-old landslide into landslide lake. You can see the lower scar, along with the upper scar on a cliff on Mt. Colonel Foster itself. [enlarge]
Landslide Scar Explained
I've added a bit of annotation here to show exactly the path of the landslide, starting from the huge face of rock that fell away from the shoulder of Mt. Colonel Foster, to the final slide down into the lake. [enlarge]
