Panther peak is one of the peaks in the Santanoni Range, somewhat removed to the west of the main body of the High Peaks. Panther is an officially untrailed peak. It actually has a very attractive summit, with a small but very nice open area on its summit. There are excellent views west towards the Lake Country. Panther is usually done in conjunction with the two other peaks of the Santanoni Mountains (Couchsachraga and Santanoni). It is a long hike in to do these peaks. See the climbing logs / trip reports / image galleries references below for detailed information on the mountain and the route.
