One of the higher peaks of the Southern Adirondacks, located just south of Blue Ridge Road near the community and lake of Schroon Lake. There is no established trail or herd path to the summit, and most routes are tough bushwhacks. The best way to climb this peak is via its long south ridge, which has - relative to most Adirondack peaks - fairly light bushwhacking. There are also several decent eastward-facing lookouts along the ridge. The summit is treed, but a few feet away is a limited eastern-looking view.
