A prominent, rocky peak a little ways north of Esther/Whiteface. Not officially marked as such, there is a very well-defined trail. Lots of scrambling and ledges on the way up (and therefore lots of views, too). Mostly open summit with good views of Esther/Whiteface and also of the northwestern Adirondacks. Very short hike (5.5km round trip). A bit tricky to find the trailhead, which is essentially unsigned except for some dull red paint on a tree.
