Lyon Mountain is the farthest north of the larger peaks of the Adirondacks (which makes it a nice short drive if you are coming from Canada). There is a wide, straightforward (but steep at times) trail leading up the eastern side of the peak. The road to the trailhead isn't marked, but it is a short and good gravel road that heads off from Chazy Lake Road, a couple of miles south of where it meets highway 374. Summit has some nice open spots and a fire tower in good shape.
