Marcy and Haystack
The summit of Mount Colvin affords an excellent view across to Haystack and Marcy, two of the very highest mountains in the state of NY. [enlarge]
Lower Ausable Lake from Colvin
A view looking northeastward from the Summit of Mount Colvin. The northeast end of Lower Ausable lake is visible, along with Indian head and the fishhawk cliffs to the right, now looking much smaller and farther away than before. [enlarge]
Cinnamon Danish cookies on Colvin
The cookies make another summit! [enlarge]
Blake Peak
This is a shot taken from a lookout near the summit of Mount Colvin. From here, one can see down the ridge southwest to Blake Peak. Not looking like a super interesting peak from here! [enlarge]
Rough trail to Blake
The from Colvin to Blake peak starts off nicely enough, but nearing Blake it is a steep tricky mess.... [enlarge]

Blake's "Summit"
The summit of Blake peak is treed, and with no views whatsoever. I nominate it as the most uninteresting 46er peak I have so far visited. [enlarge]
Another view from Colvin
Markus took this shot on the return over Mount Colvin. Here, several peaks of the Great Range can be seen: Basin, Saddleback and Gothics. [enlarge]
