By about 6pm, things were finally winding down. Most of the guests had left, and we lounged around with full bellies and took stock of the day and of the many leftovers we had still had lying around (as usual, we had gone overboard with the food quantities and there was a lot of extra food about). In any case, it had been a truly successful day.
