Evening on the town
Julian Serrano Tapas and Cirque du Soleil
Saturday, October 1
We left the rental vehicle at the hotel and walked up the strip, taking in the evening sights and sounds along the strip. We made our way to the Aria Hotel, and soon arrived at the elegant-looking entrance to our restaurant for the night - Julian Serrano's tapas restaurant.

The menus await
The restaurant itself was quite upscale and trendy-looking, and there were many interesting-looking items on the menu. For those of you who do not know, a tapas restaurant is Spanish in origin, and involves eating a large number of small-sized portions of food. Usually the items are shared amongst the people at the table. Time to order!

Beet Salad
Avocado Cannelloni
What followed was a delightful couple of hours sampling many things from the extensive list of tapas items. We started basically at the top, at the 'soups and salad' section, and worked our way down through various appetizer-type items, seafood, and meat.

Chicken Croquetas
Paired with a nice spanish Rioja wine, there were many tasty highlights, including a tuna tempura, atlantic cod with mayo and tempura, white ceviche (a sort of spanish-style sushi), grilled lamp chop with aoili sauce, rabbit with garlic and olive oil, and marinated pork loin with pancetta and cous cous. To name a few.

Jenn went a little crazy with the portrait shots during our meal... here's a sampling:
