After following the trail down into Sleepy Cove, we decided to cut back across the roads to our starting point, as it was evening and our time was running short. We walked through the remnants of the old Sleepy Cove copper mining operation, then along a stretch of highway 340 to the village of Crow Head, and our parked car shortly afterwards.
Although we did not complete the entire sequence of coastal trails on Crow Head, we got a very good sense of how nice these sorts of walks can be. I hear that similar trails on nearby peninsulas to the east are even better. The next time we visit Twillingate, those will have to be checked out!
