Grateful to be finished what had been quite a strenous (but still enjoyable and interesting) journey, we un-packed and got into the car to warm up. After about twenty more minutes, Brian and Harold arrived. This made it official: Harold had summitted his 46th winter peak and now had made it back to the trailhead in one piece.
Completing a very long day
To celebrate, we decided to stop for dinner at a restaurant in nearby Tupper Lake. Harold had become part of an exclusive club: there are only about 650 W46Rs! (compared to over 7,000 regular 46Rs). Congratulations again, Harold!
