Well, those are some pretty nice things to say, Jeff! I am very pleased that you find such benefit from these pages, and am grateful for the kind words as well. Please note that I'm not all fun-and-roses... I have my barnacles, too, as Jenn well knows!

Maybe someday I'll try and compile something out of all of this material, but if so probably not a standard guidebook. There's tons of those out there already, and probably no one wants yet another one!

Many thanks again for your kind words,
...Andrew

Thank you Jeff and to everyone else for your congratulations and kind words. I agree with you Jeff, regarding Andrew's talents and generosity in the mountains. He is always my inspiration. We have met wonderful people over the years on the ADK trails, and have enjoyed the comradery of fellow hikers. We have loved hiking with friends and family and introducing new people to the Adirondaks. My father still talks about his hike up Wright peak, and Andrew's father still reminisces about his hike up Mt. Jo. We couldn't have it better! Please stop us for a chat if we ever cross paths on the trail. We would love to meet you all!

Jennifer

Andrew,

I agree completely with John's comments. Although I'll never achieve your stature as a climber (way too old and slow!), you've been an inspiration and have "pulled" me up every peak that I've climbed. Your willingness to revisit past peaks for the benefit of friends (such as Jen who seems so sweet) and the gentleness that you've shown to your hiking companions (e.g., your dad on Wright) evidence that you are a good fellow and born leader. I think your should collect and publish your photos and trip reports, not as a field guide to be carried in a pack, but as a trip reference source for guys like me.

Congratulations to you and Jen!

Andrew,

I am so pleased for the three of you! I've been reading your posts and enjoying your pictures since I started winter hiking last year, and it's wonderful to see that you've reached your goal. I hope we'll run into each other someday, out there in the mountains, and wish you all the best with whatever's next.

Congrats on your W46~! After readin your post, I think I will resume my quest for the W46 as well (had a 1 year break, about 1/2 way done). Will probably start with Colden this weekend to get back into shape, and before winter's end do Haystack. It looks awsome. Congrats again

Cheers

Just wanted to throw in my own congratulations to you. I must say that one of my hiking buddies and myself have become recent fans of your website. I actually found your account of the Haystack climb a bit moving, I am very happy for both of you. I find your website to be a wealth of information, not to mention a darn good read as well. Andrew, you are an excellent writer and photographer. I wish you both luck in your future adventures together, may they last you a long and happy lifetime (together).

...there I go again!
