After Kodachrome Basin, we returned to the Escalante area, where we did another backcountry, off-piste loop: this time to the little, secluded well-watered canyon of Boulder Creek.
After the Boulder Creek hike, the rest of Arn's family arrived to join us for a few days of outdoor adventuring. We first let Arn's kids burn off steam at the Escalante area's natural playground: Devil's Garden.
We only ended up having time for one 2-day backpack on this trip - a journey down the Escalante from Escalante Town to the bridge at highway 12. It was a great experience for all: scenic and relaxed.
The successful 2-day backpack marked the end of the trip for Jenn, Kyle and I. Arn and family stayed on, while the three of us enjoyed a leisurely and scenic ride back to Las Vegas, in preparation for our flight home.
