 I stumbled upon your story of your trip to Avellino while googling "Sensale Mercogliano" because I recently discovered that my maternal great-grandfather was born there in 1854, Giovanni Sensale.  I would love to see if we are related through the Sensale lineage.  Let me know how to contact you directly.

Carissimi cugini lontani,

avrei voluto tanto rivedervi durante il vostro viaggio in Italia. Purtroppo non mi è stato possibile, anche se ho salutato ancora una volta zia Anna, che spero possa tornara a visitare la sua terra.

E' stato emozionante vedere tante immagini di persone e luoghi a me cari: grazie per il bellissimo diario, Andrew, e a una prossima volta.

Hi Andrew, 

of all of your adventures I always enjoy the trips to Italy the most (go figure!). 

 With the fantastic pictures you take, I feel like I'm there every time I read about your trips to Italy. Hopefully your mom is up to it again so that I can see more of the old country!
