A Queen in Dark Seas
I believe (although I am not sure) that this is the 'Queen of Esquimalt', a 376-car ferry that operates various routes based on need between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. In this case, it is running the Horseshoe bay-Departure bay route between West Vancouver and Nanaimo. As seen from the Innes residence on Gabriola Island.

Almost seems tropical
The arrangement of the two coniferous trees on the left suggests a tropical palm-framed sunset. But no, this is the view from the front yard of the Innes Residence at sunset. Beautiful, isn't it?
