A fairly stiff west wind was chilling us on the summit ledge, so we hiked back a bit to a south-facing aspect and had our lunch, chatting with a few friendly fellow hikers at the same time. From there, we began our descent, which was direct and straightforward, both from the nature of the route and from the condition of the trail, which very much suited our snowshoes.

It was definitely cloudier on our descent, but still there was an occasional stretch of warm springlike sun. In no time flat, we were down in the trees for good, and by 2pm, we were back at the car. A thoroughly enjoyable outing on an unexpectedly nice day. Thanks, folks, for coming along and making it happen.
