Back over the knoll
A now-excellent snowshoe track and good snow meant we had the perfect conditions to switch the mind into neutral and cruise back down the trail to the car, chatting the whole way down. We arrived back at the road just eight minutes beyond Jenn's desired finishing time. Not bad, considering!

Well, it's now confirmed: This hike is superb, summer or winter! Thanks everyone for coming out today.

Note: regarding the track contained in the interactive trackmap below: this was a winter hike, and on an un-maintained herd path. Therefore, it is likely that in a few spots the track has deviated from the 'true' summer herdpath.
