The view from Hurricane is among the best in all of the Adirondacks. Well over half of the "46er" peaks are visible from here. The ideal time to view the mountains from Hurricane would be soon after sunrise.

The Explorer's Spirit
Markus has an affinity for old relics, so he cannot help but explore the fire tower, which turns out to be in good shape and quite sturdy. Good thing considering the wind that was blasting it! Apparently a group is trying to save the tower from being dismantled - their website can be found here: (www.hurricanefiretower.org).
