This image gallery documents Meghan Innes' first ever full-length Marathon. She ran in the National Capital Marathon, also called the Ottawa Race Weekend. The event is Canada's largest marathon, and this year (2012) there were over 40,000 participants - over 5,000 of them full-length marathon runners.
Meghan asked me to document this special occasion, and so I spent the day chasing Meghan and getting the pictures you see on this page. Hope you enjoy them!
Note: Most of the pictures (from the picture title 'The Start' to immediately after the run) are geo-tagged, and can be viewed on a map that contains the marathon course, so you can see where they were taken. You can either click on the map on the last page of this report, or you can click on the 'MAP' button above each full-sized picture. You'll get a map with photo points that will follow along as you advance through the pictures.
