We noticed a bit of a path heading off west around the base of the white sandstone cliffs. I'm glad we chose to explore in that direction, for as we turned the corner around the base of these cliffs, we came to another amazing cluster of hoodoos, these ones all in soft white, rather than orangey-red. Still with dark-brown capstones atop many of them, these hoodoos looked even more otherwordly then the first batch.
After surveying this second cove of hoodoos, and of the scenic multi-colored basins to the west, we headed back. The sun was close to setting and we did not have headlamps with us.
Dusk was upon us as we arrived back at our campsite. Dinner by lamplight!
