We arrived at the busy summit, and sat down to have a quick snack and enjoy the stupendous view on this perfectly clear day. Congrats to you Gosia, on your climb of Angel's Landing, and of conquering your fear!
The way back down was, much like the way up, quite scenic, quite airy, and quite slow. There were so many people on the route that half the time was spent just waiting around for people to file along. Given the narrowness of much of the upper route on Angel's Landing, there was often no safe way to pass people.
Once back on the wide West Rim trail at Scout's Lookout, our pace quickened considerably. Down, down we went zig-zagging down Walter's Wiggles, through verdant Refrigerator Canyon, and down the final twisties to the floor of Zion Canyon.
Three and half hours after starting out, we were back at the bus stop and picnic area at the Grotto. Time for some pizza left-overs from the night before!
