By no stretch of the imagination is this a twisty road. However, it is a scenic stretch of road. Also, there aren't many twisty roads in the midwest, so "you takes what you can gets".
The stretch of MI 28 between Marquette and Munising is best done on a warm sunny day. Then, you can look north as you drive along and behold what looks very much like the ocean, not a lake. There are many nice long stretches of excellent beach and there are nicely paved pullouts right next to the sand.
If you are travelling on a long distance road trip out west, this little stretch of road is a welcome break from the endless slow, straight, through-every-little-town highways that permeate the midwest.
