Early Season Ice at Cabin Creek
December 14, 2014
A few hours of early-season ice climbing at Cabin Creek, along the Eardley Escarpment in Gatineau Park, near Ottawa. The day was relatively warm and the ice was not yet well-formed. Visible melting occurred as we carefully climbed around the edges of open flowing water. A few more weeks of solid below-freezing temperatures are needed to bring this climbing area into good shape.
