Next up, the second Micra Cup race. Based on yesterday's close and fun race (in fact, it had the crowd hollering and whooping with joy more than anything else yesterday), we were looking forward to seeing the little tyke cars race.
Three by three by three by...
Once again, they came buzzing down the start straight, even more packed together than yesterday - wheel to wheel to wheel to wheel. Still, they made it through the first corners cleanly, and for the remainder of the twenty minute race, we were treated to a superbly entertaining, heated battle for first between #69 Stefan Rzadzinski and #96 Olivier Bedard. First place changed hands several times, before Rzadzinski made a small error that set him back a second or so, preventing him from catching up one last time, and Bedard crossed the line in first. Amazing how much fun this little series provided!

Not your everyday traffic jam
Next up, the final race of the weekend for the ferrari challenge series. Once again, a rolling start - but this time, a few cars contacted and got sideways during the first turn. A short yellow after a bit of towing damaged cars off the track and things were on again. Some decent fighting for the top spots did ensue, but nothing quite as close as in the previous Micra Cup race. After all was said and done, #38 Gregory Romanelli once again crossed the finish line in first. A good weekend for the Miami native.
