The next morning, Stan took Jenn and I on a quick tour of the nearby downtown Neighborhood. It was a gray, flurry-ish day, so we didn't get the most spectacular of views. Stan showed us the nearby St. Lawrence market, a lively, colorful place jam-packed with vendors of all kinds, then a walk to and through a couple of Stan's architectural projects - the interior of the King Edward Hotel and One King West - the famed project atop the old Dominion Bank building known as 'The Sliver'. It is one of (if not the) narrowest high-rise buildings anywhere - a slender, airfoil-like tower rising out of the dark brickwork of the existing historical bank. Very cool.

We then parted ways with Stan and quickly went over to visit the CN Tower. This was Jenn's first time in Toronto and she'd never visited the CN Tower, so even though the cloud deck was only about 1,000 up and it was lightly snowing, we purchased tickets for the main deck. On the plus side, the place was practically deserted! Definitely she'll have to come back when the visibility is a wee bit better.
