After coming back from our great
Dolomites trip in Northeastern Italy, it was probably time to check in on the folks back in the Maritimes. This year, my aunt and uncle on my dad's side of the family, Ben and Laurin, were holding a 60-year wedding celebration, and had invited anyone in the family who wanted to come. The reunion was being held at the family cottage in Caissie Cape, New Brunswick - a place I had spent many a summer vacation when I was very young. I had not visited 'the cottage' for over 25 years, and so this would be an interesting trip back in time for me - a fresh repaint of some very old memories.
Of course, along the way, I stopped in to visit some more immediate relatives: Mom and Dad in Bathurst, and Carl, Line, and Mark in Fredericton. Good weather on this trip, too - for a change!
