This shot looks towards the core of the high peaks region. Mount Marcy is the highest peak in New York state (at 5300+ feet), and is visible left of center. Alqonquin peak is the high mount to the right of center, also above 5000 feet, and is the second highest peak in New York state. Many other great hiking mountains are also visible in this shot, including Gothics and Haystack.
