September 5, 2023 - An Invitation to Comment

Back on the 5th of September, I had received an email from Porsche Canada: "Vehicle Satisfaction Survey - your feedback is highly appreciated". I was pretty happy to receive this, as I value giving accurate, constructive feedback; and as you can probably now gather from my recollections and the way I deliver them, I had a lot of feedback to give - generally good, on the whole - but definitely not always.

The email I (Andrew) received from Porsche Canada to fill out a post-dealership delivery experience survey. But I had not yet received my car in Canada yet!

I started filling out the survey, but then stopped - a lot of it seemed focused on the dealership experience, including how things were handled at delivery time. The problem was.... we hadn't yet received our cars from our home dealership here in Canada. So... how could I answer those questions? I couldn't. So I waited and did not complete the form at that time.

September 20, 2023 - Another Invitation to Comment

On September 20th, I received an extension on the Porsche Canada feedback survey I had been emailed back at the start of the month (presumably since I had not filled it out yet). But the extension was only for fourteen days, until October 2. Based on the current trajectory of our cars to Porsche of London, it was clear we weren't going to have our cars delivered to us by October 2, and I still wasn't going to be able to answer the questions about the delivery experience at our local dealership. I replied to the email, explaining that the Euro Delivery process meant that we would not be receiving our cars until sometime later in October, and could I please have an extension to the end of October?

Hello, Roxanne (Silveira).

Thank you for the extension. I have been holding off on filling out the survey because I have not yet received my car here in Canada yet (I did European Delivery this summer). Is it possible to wait until I receive my car here? Some of the questions are not relevant until I do.

Let me know what you think,

To this day (I'm writing this post-trip epilogue section in early 2025), I never did receive a reply to the above email, nor did I ever get a chance to fill out a feedback survey. To top that off, Luke never received a survey email at all from Porsche Canada. Not a first one, not a second one. And I can report that both Luke and I carefully scrubbed through our spam and trash folders, several times.

Essentially, Porsche Canada has missed out on getting feedback from two very involved, very motivated, very passionate customers. Well... to anyone who might care, consider this entire trip report to be a substitute in lieu of being able to fill out two feedback surveys (and if you are Porsche Canada, please don't forget to read the final page of this post-trip section).
