The day after our backpack was one of very nice relaxation. Our plane did not depart Las Vegas until very late in the evening, so we had the entire day to do with as we pleased. We packed, tried out a new breakfast place in Escalante (the
Ranch Dog Kitchen - very unconventional twists on common breakfast items), tried out a new backcountry highway on the way back to 'Vegas (the Skutumpah Road), tried out a great new (to us) mexican restaurant in North Las Vegas (
Viva Zapata's), and gave Chris Waddington his first ever drive down the Las Vegas strip (at dusk, no less).

As is customary, I want to thank everyone for being great sports, being flexible, being capable, and maintaining good spirits (I guess I'm kind of repeating myself there...).
Until next time....!
