Nootka Lupine
This is Nootka (Alaskan) Lupine (Lupinus nootkatensis), as seen along regional road 864 in Northeastern Iceland. This species is not endemic to Iceland, but was introduced here to combat erosion. Unfortunately, it has done a little too well (as you can see) and now needs to be controlled.
