Lake Powell is gone!
The view from the Overlook on Highway 95 near Hite. The entire swath of land below used to be filled by the upper reaches of Lake Powell, but the reservoir's level has lowered so much in recent years that this entire upper section is back to being part of the Colorado river valley.
