Stage 5 of climb
This is the climb to the summit. The route goes up steep scrambly terrain (class 3 at most) through the Western Breach to the crater rim. It then goes past the Furtwangler glacier and onto the final 'peaklet', known as Uhuru peak, the highest point in Africa, at 19335 feet (5895m).
