Land of Standing Rocks Jeep Road
(Chimney Rock to the Dollhouse)
This page covers the last bit of the Land of Standing Rocks Jeep Road, from the actual Land of Standing Rocks southwards to the Dollhouse. This is a short section, and for the most part an easy smooth single-lane, twin-track road.

Heading south from Chimney Rock, the road pleasantly meanders southwards across mostly flat terrain. The spires of the Dollhouse are visible before you. There are a few slabby and/or tricky bits that will require 4wd, but otherwise the going is easy (if you've managed Teapot Canyon, you can manage these). In the southern part, just before it reaches the Dollhouse, the road follows the wide sandy bottom of a wash.

Driving down a wash

As you near the Dollhouse, the road splits. Heading left leads to backcountry vehicle sites Dollhouse 1 and Dollhouse 2, and also leads to the trailheads for the Overlook Trail and the Spanish Bottom Trail. The road leading right (well, more like straight ahead) leads to the Dollhouse 3 backcountry vehicle site (and the road ends there).
