This blocky and rather ungainly-looking thing is a Porsche 919 Hybrid, with a combination of a 400hp electric motor and a 500hp V4 turbocharged internal combustion engine. It raced in several types of race series. A later "Evo" version of this car - with reduced weight and increased power - smashed the Nordschliefe lap record, with a time of 5 minutes and 14 seconds.
