Looking uphill towards the Gerdine Glacier, and above it, the crumbly cliffs of Disappointment Peak. You can see Brian and Rosty on the boot track just right of the ridgeline in the foreground. Our route takes us up to the Gerdine Glacier, across it (underneath said crumbly cliffs) and to the saddle that lets us move over to the Cool Glacier.
