Here we all are, posing for a portrait at the start of our Grand Canyon Backpack, at Hermit's Rest. So named for a man named Louis Boucher who had lived at the head of nearby Hermit Canyon. And in fact we would be taking the Hermit Trail which went down that very canyon.
