An example of a BMW IV Aircraft Engine, produced between 1918 and 1928, on display at the BMW Museum in Munich. It was an inline-6 producing 300 horsepower... hmm, not all that different from the inline-6 producing 365 horsepower in the M2. This engine was 23 litres of displacement, though!
