The wide-angle view
This is the view from my 5D Mark III camera, which was set up to periodically and automatically capture the progression of the eclipse and effect on the lighting of the landscape. The camera was set to 1/400s @ f/8 @ ISO 200 for the entire first half of the eclipse up to the middle of totality. In this way, it captured the actual change in light as the eclipse progressed.
