This is the council chamber in the Doge's Palace, Venice. The political and legislative activity of the Venetian republic was conducted from this room. The painter Veronese is responsible for the paintings, and the intricate, ornate panel carvings are the work of Francesco Bello and Andrea da Faenza. Late 1500s.
