Largest snowfield so far
Above Glacier Gap, we cross the largest stretch of snow so far on our backpack. Beyond, you can see the south ridge of Glacier Peak rising into the clouds. There would normally be a spectacular view of Glacier Peak's summit from here. A very nice footpath leads up along the bare crest of the upcoming part of the ridge.
