Wild and Windy Gulf of St Lawrence
Looking north out over the Gulf of St Lawrence, from PEI's northern shore near French River. The temperature is relatively mild - a few degrees above freezing - but a strong wind is blowing from the northeast, pushing at least a kilometer's worth of pack ice hard against the shore.
