A temporary rise in the North Kaibab Trail gives a good overview of the next section of Upper Roaring Springs Canyon: the ascent through the ledgy Supai formation. The trail descends for a bit from here, crossing the watercourse on a very sturdy bridge, before switchbacking up the slopes on the far side.
