A short scramble up the slopes to the south of our campspot gets one to a spot that affords a nice view of the Death Hollow-Escalante Confluence. The Escalante comes in from the left and flows downstream to the right. Coming in from straight ahead (in this photo) is the canyon of Death Hollow. Our campsite is in the trees just to the right of the open sandy area below.
